Community Dancers Group

Participants join Jean and/or Velouse for weekly rehearsals. Rooted in the rich traditions of Haitian Folkloric dance and music, each season’s choreography is thoughtfully crafted around a central theme and rhythm, infusing each movement with cultural depth and artistic expression.

Dancers will have the opportunity to perform at select events throughout the Greater Boston area as part of JAE’s diverse community programming.

Please note: Community Dancers are asked to attend at least 9 of the 10 rehearsals and must be available to perform at the JAE Dance Center on Saturday, December 5 from 6pm to 8pm.
